Course review that shit. Ask upperclassmen and the PHINs. Advance registration doesn’t end for freshmen until like July 23! And you can shop classes for the first two weeks of the semester.

      Tl;dr: You’ll be fine.

Penn has tons of great classes, but I understand that you’re worried about what to take AS a freshman. My advice would be not to let being a freshman get in the way– you can basically take whatever you want and what you’re most passionate about.

Come on now, times have changed. It’s about being with the right person, not engaged by a certain age. All due respect an word to your mother–that’s awesome if things worked out so early for her. However, your twenties are a good time to “have fun” and learn about yourself, i.e figure out the person you want to be as well as the type of person you want to be with. You’re probably most likely to find happiness if you just focus on having quality relationships with others (and yourself)–regardless of whether they’re romantic or platonic.

Are you trying to say soulmate?

        • OldSoulMaid 4:47 pm on July 17, 2010 Permalink

Close…ish. It was a play on “Old Soul” and “Old Maid” as well as a stretched version of “Soul Mate.” But the gist of my message was to focus on your own happiness (during your “maid” years) instead of rushing into matronhood and worry only about finding a “mate.” Dig?
