I really didn’t mean it in a mean way, but if the OP really doesn’t want to be here, they should apply for transfer and cut their losses. It’ll only get harder.
But I’m not here to say nice things and sympathize to people who didn’t know what they want and are now complaining. I knew what I was getting into, and it’s been going great.

Not trying to be a dick. Really. But I don’t have any interest in stupid platitudes. It sucks that the OP picked the wrong school, and it does happen, but complaining on PennFML isn’t the way to do anything about it.
And if they don’t think they picked the wrong school, I’m not inclined to sympathize with them because they have some vague dislike of the situation.

You probably would feel this way at Columbia too. It’s natural to assume that the grass is greener. Do you really think the finals period at Columbia is any more fun than is at Penn?
Also, if you’re a freshman or a sophomore and have valid reasons for transferring (the core, etc) rather than ‘first love’, consider transferring. Penn may just not be the right place.

So miserable..I’ve been away for the last year so no friends….I’m simply going through the motions of coursework and not truly learning anything…completely s*xually pent up…the girls I’ve met are not particularly nice…everyone’s so damn self-aggrandizing here…I hate being a workhorse…FML

Try setting up some study sessions with classmates. Maybe that way you can socialize a bit more. I would also try to break the routine…. sign up for some volunteering or something, and feel better about what you’re doing with your time while meeting more peeps
